BARTENDING SCHOOL
Joe the Bartender Ltd. recognizing a need for a consistent standard of the training of bartenders in the hospitality industry undertook to establish a bartending program in 1994. The resulting program well exceeded ‘industry standards’, and was registered with the “Private Post Secondary Education Commission” department of the BC Provincial Government. Additional relative courses such as ‘Serving it Right, Foodsafe and Squirrel’ were included in our “Certificate Program” as were a number of ‘Just for Fun’ mini courses.
In 2003 due to changes in the Act governing Private Post Secondary facilities, we were no longer required to formally register with the P.P.S.E.C., but have consistently monitored and revised our program to reflect the ever changing nature of the bartending business and pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards possible.
Student interest comes from a variety of reasons. Most popular are those who are pursuing a career within the hospitality industry, some who are looking for a way to pay for their ‘travel interests’ as they go and many who just want to be able to impress their family and friends.
Our program schedule is set to maximize flexibility and the comprehensive course content requires commitment to ensure your success. We offer small classes for all our courses which provide an excellent instructor/student ratio. Costs include student manuals so course prices are as listed.
